Christmas wrap up

What a Christmas whirlwind, this year. And I was pretty well prepared for it!

Between mailing Christmas cards, preschool parties, a cookie swap I hosted (success!), trying out a new night tree tradition (eh, ok--not sure it will be sticking), making/decorating Christmas cutout cookies (what a pain), making fudge & cookies, wrangling the kids into behaving at church, hosting Christmas Eve and morning....no wonder it was a whirlwind. And what I miss is I never seemed to have a chance to sit back with a cup of coffee and take it in, enjoying the moment with the kids.

But how to make it easier next year? Especially when we'll have a six month old baby added to the clan? Not sure!

Highlights:
  • Andrew and Ryan watching Frosty in their pjs eating popcorn; they loved it and couldn't have been happier
  • hosting a cookie swap for preschool moms. I am proud of myself for taking a chance and putting myself out there.
  • cooking a great prime rib for Christmas Eve with Billy. It was delicious!
