I used to try to encourage his independence, worried he is too attached. But you know what? It's nice to have support in the big world out there. We all want that.

What you need
It's nice to trust your judgment. Ryan is still very tentative in crowds, new situations and noisy areas. But I am not worried. He is little. It's amazing how much we expect out of these little babes! He is almost 2.5 and will learn to navigate the world in time. For now, if he needs a little help from me to have courage to play in a new group or a hug when things get too loud or rambunctious for his taste then so be it....
